1 cup fresh spinach leaves.
1/2 courgette (cucumber)
1 green apple

water or coconut water to taste (one full glass).
Preparation:
Place all ingredients in a blender when blending until smooth. You can add ice if you prefer the drink colder. This smoothie works best for your breakfast as it can energise you throughout the day and also flushes toxins out of your body.
Quinoa and Vegetable Detox Salad
Quinoa is a superfood high in protein and fibre which makes it an excellent base for a detox salad. Add fresh veggies and light dressing as for a healthy and satiating lunch.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked quinoa
- 1 grated carrot
- ½ cucumber, sliced
- ¼ of purple cabbage, thinly sliced
- ½ avocado, diced
- handful of fresh cilantro
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Mix the cooked quinoa with the vegetables in a large bowl. Combine the lemon juice, olive oil, salt and pepper separately and pour over the salad. Mix well. This salad is a light but filling option.

Ingredients:
- 2 large carrots, cut into sticks
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt
Preparation:
In a food processor, blend chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil and salt until smooth. Serve with carrot sticks and enjoy a healthy snack!
